Position Title: Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affair

Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affair.
This is a key position that is opening at University of Modern Sciences. The post holder will have strategic responsibility for the management and oversight of the following key areas of activity - in no particular order:
General: The VPFA will have responsibility for the financial operations of the institution and will provide guidance to ensure the efficient and effective stewardship of the University’s physical and financial resources. He or she will have oversight of all finance functions including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, long-range financial planning, asset management Etc.
The VPFA is also responsible for a range of non-finance functions including the operation and maintenance of facilities, construction activity, facilities planning, sustainability, human resources, and legal ,liability management, and risk management In addition, the VPFA has responsibilities of University marketing to enhance the University’s public relations and collaborations internally and externally.
Other key relationships: The Provost and other members of the senior leadership team. Other critical constituencies include the Board, faculty, staff, parents, students, and alumni. Local government leaders of Middletown.
Serve as an active steward of the University’s financial resources and operations
Lead the University financial and capital planning and budgeting processes and ensure that resources are deployed efficiently and also effectively in the support of the advancement of the University’s objectives
Represent the University to financial partners, outsourced service providers, financial institutions, auditors, insurance brokers, and other relevant providers; and Maintain and continue to enhance a strong service culture, ensuring that the financial and operational functions of the University of modern sciences are effectively supporting the University’s mission.
A strong strategic orientation with the ability to effectively partner with, and communicate to, the President and other leaders on the senior administrative team. Ensure that there is clarity on financial implications of decisions, set short- and long-term priorities, and chart an informed, sustainable, and ambitious future.
Experience leading and managing a large team including hiring, performance management, training, and professional development.
Create a sustainable financial model that will enable UMS to continue to innovate and meet its ambitious short and long-term objectives; including working closely with leadership on capital requirements coming from fundraising, borrowing, and operations.
Develop sophisticated financial and performance management tools to enable strategic decision-making and planning and have the confidence to articulate a point of view and make tough decisions.
MISSION – ORIENTED:
Experience working in an academic setting and/or a nonprofit organization is highly desirable.
Technical and analytical acumen
Strong analytical skills and technical capability, including expertise with enterprise-wide financial systems.
The post holder is a member of the University Of Modern Sciences leadership team and reports directly to the University President.
Direct reports: Financial & Auxiliary Services, Financial Planning, Facilities
Human Resources, Legal, Sustainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles with deep knowledge of accounting and finance, legal, risk management, facilities, and human relevant experience in education industry.
Experience leading and managing a large team including hiring, performance management, training, and professional development
Top academic credentials, including an MBA or related graduate degree; a CPA or CMA is a plus.
Ability to demonstrate integrity, credibility, confidentiality, and responsibility in all interactions.

Oversee all enterprise data-center operations (cloud and on premise) ensuring highest possible Uptime.
Maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery / business continuity plan for the company’s production systems and applications.
Monitor Network Performance and Ensure the 24 X 7 availability of windows, Linux servers in all data centers environment.
Maintaining Corporate Active Directory, Windows Server 2012 R2, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Hyper-V infrastructure, Service desk and I.T security.
Managing Google G Suite Services like Gmail, Groups and Team Drives
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, purchasing, and service provisioning.
Making PowerShell Scripts to Automate Tasks and other Bulk Implementation as per Business needs.
Manage WLAN Controller to control Access Points and SSIDs and to give secure wireless Access.
Configuring Cisco Switches and Router for voice and Data configurations; Port Security, vLans, DHCP.
Managing Infrastructure Security Devices; Fortigate Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Endpoint Security.
