Seminar on Tolerance and Acceptance of the other and its Implications for Sustainable Human Development in the United Arab Emirates
UMS hosted a seminar on Tolerance and Acceptance of the other and its Implications for Sustainable Human Development in the United Arab Emirates.
The event took place on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at UMS campus and organized by the Student Services Department to promote a culture of tolerance and recognition of the great role played by the United Arab Emirates over the past years in spreading this tolerance message worldwide.
The Seminar Agenda and speeches were as follow:
1 - Prof. Akmal Ramadan Dean of College of Law, gave a speech on the acceptance of the other and its impact on sustainable human development in the United Arab Emirates. :
2 - Dr.Said Hamed, Dean of Student Services spoke about "Profiles of the positions of the founder HH Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, (may God have mercy on him) in human tolerance in building the UAE Identity
3 - Mr. Ayman Kassam, instructor of Islamic culture at the College of Arts, talked about Culture of Tolerance.
A delegation from the Dubai Police General Command also attended the event and had an impact on the enrichment of the seminar.
The seminar was attended by a large number of students, faculty members and administrative staff
